Hi Simeon,
Right now we've been having windy, rainy, and cold weather here in BC, so if you've got any extra warmth and sunshine, send it over. Everything looks lush and green, though. I love the Kootenays. I have visited friends in Nelson and Argenta, which is up around the top of Kootenay Lake past Kaslo. Never been to Brazil, though.
I will have to do some catching up on local media since I've been ignoring them and reading The Field! My thought is to go to the outlets like less corporate local weeklies and magazines and even online journals. In my area that would include The Tyee (online news from BC), Adbusters, our local free weekly newspaper...The debate is whether, if you are not the journalists yourself, if you should talk to them or just pass along the contacts to those who will be reporting for The Field. As you say, this discussion can take place over there.
Hi, Simeon, Welcome to Fieldhands ! One thing that you could do from where you are is give us a little idea as time goes on of how the race and Obama are viewed in Brazil and neighboring countries. And the contacting or at least listing info and contacts on media where you are which might help with credentialing Fieldhands reporting from Denver.
Looking forward to hearing more on your take on the developing race and, of course , what it means for us and what we can do to take part in this movement!
