I know a lot of people believe in voting for the person. I'm affected by the personality. But the bottom line for me right now is voting for the ticket. So it doesn't matter to me who is on it with him. I want the ticket to reach the undecideds.

I had been active in my county party for several years, and I was a very early supporter of Kerry. In fact, I was co-chair of Students for Kerry at UW-Madison, I was one of the Wisconsin co-chairs of Veterans for Kerry, and I was on the paid advance staff at the end of the campaign. As a volunteer, I and several others worked very closely with the state chair during the primary, so when the delegate selection meetings were held (first at the county level, then at the CD level), based on my credibility as a long-time party member and my efforts as a volunteer, I was a relatively easy pick.
