His analysis of the purpose of the constitution and of the internal conflicts politicians face everyday (and i am only at chapter 2) is so spot-on and smart, that i believe he will be a major force in reducing corporate influence in politics and turn the apathetic American population into true citizens, or πολίτες, in the ancient Greek meaning.
About liberals being the biggest supporters of the constitution, i think that things have changed a lot since the 60's, especially as conservatives have turned into theocratists and corporatists, and to both of these groups the constitution is an obstacle.
