Lloyd Webber, and I'm a recent Canadian citizen, but I have a lot of family and friends who are from the USA who I keep in constant contact with and who piqued my interest in Barack Obama and American politics is general. I'm an engineering student in a prestigious (by Canadian standards) university, but I spend most of my free time (not very much) working on my autobiography and reading The Field. I hope to have lots of stimulating conversations much like we've always had at the field.

I think you are the 8th Canadian to join us, and we have 4 or 5 from the UK along with scattered Fieldhands living in Ireland (me) Belgium, Morocco, NZ, Japan and Denmark, just to name the ones that come into my head at the moment.

You might check out the Comment Wall on our homepage, see how other people have introduced themselves and think about introducing yourself.

Oh, and the introduction can be simple. Anything you want us to know about you is great, but a good start can be just a little more about your location, your nationality--if it's not obvious, and your history with The Field.

You may or may not know that Al is organising a posse to blog and report on Denver. One way we're trying to help is to find media outlets overseas that might be interested in getting free grassroots coverage in exchange for media credentials. And we're still looking for other ways we can contribute from across the globe.

Finally, every comment, idea, suggestion, criticism, etc. is welcome, except for the infamous Chicken Little behaviour Al is training us all out of... and don't hesitate to ask if you need technical support for anything here. Someone is bound to step up to the plate.
