For readers of The Field, to gather face to face

Maryland proper?

Hi all,

I just joined this group, but I'm very keen in seeing if there are enough Marylanders to start a distinct MD group. I'm in Western MD, a normally GOP stronghold, fast becoming Obama country. I discovered that when I canvassed my neighborhood prior to our primary in Feb.

Much, much more work needs to be done around these parts to get people to first register, and then vote in Nov. I'm eager to get started on that, but it will be easier to do as part of a team. The Vote for Change initiative of the O campaign is great, but so far absent around these parts, as far as I know.

In the meantime, happy to be a member of the greater DC group, and looking forward to any guidance as to how to get started here in West. Md.
