Just attended the opening of the Pasadena Democratic Party office -- a combined effort for a bunch of local democratic party clubs. Russ Warner (the D challenger for CA-26 was there, and I met Todd Beeton of MyDD and Courage Campaign.) Excellent.

Will start doing canvassing tomorrow for the Russ Warner campaign. I'll post more of stuff I learn about what to do to change this district from red to blue.

Hi! I'm living in West Los Angeles now, but I grew up in Southeast LA, Huntington Park to be exact. I'm in my early 30's with a small family of my own now.

Love reading the Field for the clear eyed thinking, although Al did get carried away before Texas, didn't he? Al had been helping me look really smart at work until I called Texas for Obama :-( I posted a few times, but mostly lurked. I love the fact that the Field is now at NARCONews! I'm not afraid of radical ideas, rather drawn to them actually. (Big fan of Pacifica Radio, KPFK 90.7 FM. Heh.)

I'm not sure yet what I will do for Obama or MoveOn. I would be happy to join up in efforts with you all, or invite you to stuff I hear about... like, hey, a MoveOn bake sale a friend is hosting this Saturday. http://pol.moveon.org/event/events/event.html?event_id=47596

Bake Sale for Change. No more Bush-replicas in the White House. Ingrid Cheng will be there from 9-10 am. David will staff the table from 10-11 am.

Anyway, glad to be aboard!

I have an extra tomato plant and a few cantalope seedlings. If anyone has a place to plant them let me know and we can arrange for you to have some of my extra seedlings.

Hi there, Sus from Claremont saying hello to all of you. I'm a rabid reader of many, many political blogs and was so happy to add to The Field to my bookmarks a couple of months ago.

I'm new to Ning so I'm not sure if I've done everything right, but we shall see :)

Hola a todos! Anaheim here. I just created an Orange County group (don't know how many OCers are here) but I am glad to be a member of several groups, including this one! I have family in a lot of places, so Hellooo neighbors!

Hi Bryan, glad you joined... Other L.A. County people... where are you from? How long have you been visiting The Field?

Also, I'm glad to see new avatar/photo or two in this group since yesterday. Some have had problems with uploading, before the necessary two steps (click upload and below, click Save Changes) was made more explicit.

Greetings from West L.A. Been a rabid reader of the The Field since January when I first dove into the primary battle. Looking forward to seeing where we take this!

San Gabriel Valley, too. Monrovia. I set up a group for LA Co. because I didn't know how many of us there are from this region, and I figured that a larger area would be better than too-narrow. If there are enough of us and we want to do westside meets and eastside/sgv meets and SFV meets, that's cool.
