I've decided to make the trip at the last minute, so I sent you an email Janey to get caught up with the ongoings.

Look forward to meeting all of you.

Important: Did everyone who wants to coordinate in Denver next week get my email, and Al's, today?

Email me here: janeylaird (at) aol.com (you know - substitute the symbol @ for (at)) if you did not. I might have mistyped your email address OR I do not have your email address.

Starting Sunday, I will be available on my cell: 801/635/6465 also.

Thank you all

Coordinating the Big Tent Passes

Go to Fieldhands Denver Convention Big Tent Passes
http://fieldhands.ning.com/group/denverposseandsixpackslingers/forum/topic/show?id=2145204%3ATopic%3A9004
Remember that I have two Big Tent passes for Fieldhands and that Al will have some for the Field - although I do not know what he plans to do with his Big Tent passes. I want to make sure that everyone at Fieldhands who would like to, gets a chance to be at the Big Tent.,, continued on the Big Tent Passes discussion board

It seems that the Convention Posse membership has boomed in the last week. That's great to see!

For those of you who have yet to answer Al's "Field Hands Census" or the "Community Credentials" thread, please do so.

An update on the "Community Credentials" stuff: Folks who live in Colorado and requested tickets should receive notification between now and Friday.

As I've been working my volunteer lists and knocking on doors over the last few days, I've gotten lots of questions about the ticketing process. (My Dr. even asked me about this today during my check-up!) So there has been some confusion about how the tickets will be allocated, and I still don't know the details, but I'll tell you what I know. [This may be the way things are working outside of Colorado, but I have zero insight into how other states are handling it.]

If, when you signed up, you said that you'd commit to taking action for Barack by working the phones, canvasing, or helping out in the office for two shifts, (and if you fulfilled your obligation), you are in the running for preferential seating. No local staff will say, (and most don't know), how many of these seats will be available. If you didn't fulfill your commitment, or if you did not indicate that you could volunteer when you applied, don't worry. You're still in the running, but distribution will probably be on a first come first served basis. If you signed up after the first ~24 hours, you are on a wait list and will be notified on a rolling basis.

That's the word around the campaign, and it's what some Colorado media folks have been saying. It's not definitive, but hopefully it answers some questions.

Hi Denver Convention Posse

Keep posting and letting everyone know what your plans are for the Convention.

I am offline for a few days this week while traveling so if you email me your contact information and do not hear back, do not worry.

In the coming weeks, I hope we will continue our organizing by talking about what we want to do as Fieldhands while in Denver.

Everybody go over to Al's discussion: Field Hands Census for Denver.

Also, if you would like to be in the communications loop of Fieldhands - I would like to have your email address and a contact phone so everybody who will be in Denver knows what is going on with this group.

Email me at: janeylaird at aol.com and we can do more coordination if you would like! Send me your contact phone for Denver and I will send you mine too.

Try to also get to Al's little soiree. If you are poor, like me - ask Al if you can be a party "volunteer" and still go. GRINNING.

Thanks!
