if it is going to be in or near the city weekend would work better for me - it's hard to escape from the East Bay on a weekday!

I'd like to get together for a meet-up. I have a 5 month-old and a 4 year-old so the earlier in the day/evening, the better. I'm in Alameda. My brother's wedding is on Saturday so it's crazy busy until Monday. OTOH,my in-laws are here until next Sunday so we have some childcare!

Hi Tonya,

The campaign called a few weeks ago and asked us to come to Las Vegas for the final GOTV period instead. We fly out tomorrow morning. We had a great time in Reno last weekend volunteering. We had a chance to see Barack Obama last Saturday morning at UNLV Reno and then canvass in the afternoon. I wish I could post a link to my slideshow on Facebook but I'm not that cool yet. The campaign is extremely well organized in Reno and was still asking for volunteers. Hope you guys have fun this weekend. You can help Washoe county go blue for the first time...

Checking in re: Reno, will email as well, but Trina, Olivia, anyone else, you headed that way? I'll be canvassing Fernley (but staying near Reno) from Sat-Tues and love to connect with any Field Hands in the area.

Ah, that's great to hear. Some friends had heard that maybe Nevada had enough volunteers already and better to stick to making calls -- we'll go up the weekend of Oct. 31, then!

Would love to meet up. Olivia, Clifford, you still going that weekend as well?

I took my husband canvassing in Minden, NV (population 2,800) canvassing last weekend with over 75 other CA volunteers on Saturday morning. It was a lot of fun knocking on doors and talking to Obama supporters about early voting... they really appreciated the info and the personal contact. If you can help too... please do. Canvassing sounds scary but it really is non-confrontational and you won't have any regrets. We're headed up to the Reno area again this weekend (Oct 24 - 26) and will also be there Oct 31 - Nov 4. I'm totally interested in hooking up with you guys any time up there. Let's figure out how to connect...

Hey, sounds like a few of us are heading over to Reno. I'm tempted to do both the 25th and the 31st weekends, gotta finalize dates with my friends here in SF in the next day or so.

Definitely let's make some Fieldhands meetups! Where are people staying? My parents have a place up in the foothills near Virginia City, depending on how many peeps we round up here, we may have some room.
