hey all! I'm curious if / what folks are doing on the health care thing. We have a real opportunity and I'm eager to share strategies, stories, heartaches and successes. Let's do it...
Health care in the USA is atrocious. One person dies every 24 minutes here due to lack o health care and no one gives a hoot. Groups of us gathering and dispersing information to the average Joe is necessary now. Talk healthcare and get the facts to the uneducated is the first step.
What is everybody else doing across WI? Over here on the Western side of the state we are gathering signatures in support of Obama's three principles with Organizing for America. We are also making calls to everyone and their mother to get them to show at these town hall meetings Congressman Kind is having. We need to push ourselves and our communities to show what an outpouring of a need there is for reform. Just talking about it at the dinner table with our families and friends or wearing a button isn't going to get this passed. We need to be active and make our voices heard--not by engaging in shouting matches-but in a positive, encouraging way that focuses on the urgency of now.
